The postal codes in Ukraine are using 5-digit numeric codes being written right next to settlement name or city. These codes are allocated to almost all the settlements. They are allocated to Settlements that are having a population above 500, irrespective of the presence of the post office. However, areas with smaller populations are sharing the postal code of the nearest code-marked settlement. All the post offices in Ukraine contain post codebooks that can be purchased easily.
